A sweet recap of Jazlynn’s semester doing the WFU Chile: Across South America spring program 🇨🇱🤍

“Barcelona is beautiful. I’m so lucky to have lived in its beauty. Hola! My name is Juan Londoño and I was abroad with WFU’s Barcelona Spring 2025 program, studying economics.
I think our twenties are about many things, and one of those things is about collecting as many stories as possible.
I am leaving Barcelona with what feels like enough stories to write novels for a lifetime. Whether stories about walking through the beautiful city for hours on end, stories of sharing with people in villages living lives completely opposite to mine, stories of travel I can barely remember because of few hours of sleep, or stories of strangers that became friends for a few hours in countries across the world, I have fallen in love with the stories I’ve lived.
I’m excited to replay all of them in my head until I can’t any more, and eternally grateful to the city that made each of them possible.”

Repost from @wfu_casaartom 🇮🇹♥️
« Each semester at Casa Artom, students have the privilege of going on private art history tours led by Art History professor, Dr. Agnese Chiari. They visit all of the city’s famous sites such as the Ducale Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica, Scuola di San Rocco, Academia Galeries, and more!
At the end of the semester, students enrolled in the art course get to present famous art works using the knowledge they gained from the course. »

Bittersweet to share that today is Tyler’s last day at Wake 🎩
If you’ve done a summer or short-term study abroad program, you’ve likely met or emailed with our senior advisor, Tyler (top left) who worked hard behind the scenes. We are excited for his new journey ahead, and greatly appreciate his dedication and kindness the past 3 years. Cheers to Tyler! ⭐️

“皆さん、こんにちは! My name is Eli Leadham and I have been studying in Japan for the past year through @kansaigaidai_university.
We are in peak sakura 🌸 so it has been a full-time job attending viewings. My core classes have included third-year Japanese, Kanji, Japanese Kabuki Theatre, Modern Literature, and Law.
Outside of class, I conduct independent research interviewing and collecting oral testimonies from Atomic Bomb Survivors as part of my research on memory studies and memorialization. And I hope to present the findings of my research in the coming year!”

PART 2 🌟 “While coming to a new country alone was daunting, beyond the classroom I’ve had the opportunity to travel across Europe with friends from various universities in the United States.
This journey has allowed me to build a community and forge lasting connections—I met friends who have become some of my best friends. Their perspectives have enriched both my academic and personal experiences, and together, we’ve created a supportive network that makes navigating new cultures and cities all the more rewarding. ❤️✈️”

PART 1 🌟 “Hej! My name is Kevin Nguyen, and I’m currently studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark with @disabroad! 🇩🇰🍵
My core course is in Strategic Communication, with electives in digital marketing and designing communication campaigns. My studies focus on how businesses, corporations, and organizations strategically communicate to maximize their global influence.
As part of my studies, I had the opportunity to travel with my class to London, where we delved into the real-world applications of strategic communication. One of the highlights was visiting the Wimbledon grounds, where we gained valuable insights from the team on how they cultivate a distinctive brand identity and engage global audiences through storytelling, strategic partnerships, and digital innovation. We also visited the Embassy of Denmark, which provided an insider perspective on how nations utilize strategic diplomacy and targeted communication to foster international relationships.”
